Good news Ghostbusters fans, director Jason Reitman has confirmed that Ghostbusters: Afterlife just got done filming!
In a bittersweet Instagram post, Reitman started off by saying: “A journey that started 3 years ago or maybe 35 years ago is complete.”
He later went on to share his feelings about missing the cinema experience.
“Can’t wait to see GB:A in a theatre up on the big screen with an even bigger bag of popcorn. I’ve been catching up on all kinds of classics at home, but what I miss is sitting with an audience of friends and strangers and feeling that collective rush as we laugh together or jump out of our seats,” said Reitman.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife centres around a small family moving to Oklahoma, only to realise once they’ve reached an old farm that they have a “connection to the original Ghostbusters” as Reitman puts it.
After multiple unfortunate delays, the movie is currently slated for 11 June 2021.
Don’t judge a book by its cover, for behind all this makeup, is a geek just like you. To simply put it, superheroes, Star Wars, Harry Potter and all things gore and creepy makes this girly girl swoon.
