Star Wars Outlaws, the latest romp from Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft, will shine the spotlight on a new pair of protagonists: Kay Vess, and her reliable Merquaal companion Nix, offering a chance for fans to finally step into the seedy underbelly.
In celebration of the game’s launch on 30 August, Geek Culture is giving out five plushes featuring the adorable critter, courtesy of Ubisoft. It’s a nice way to kickstart the journey into an underrepresented space, especially since Nix proves to be a valuable presence throughout — from simply being an emotional support to helping out during infiltration by opening vents, distracting enemies, stealing items, and more.
Taking place between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Star Wars Outlaws follows the duo as they assemble a team for one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen. It touts an open world design, featuring platforming mechanics, combat, and a franchise staple, dogfighting, among others.
