Ever wondered what it’s like to live a life caged in by aliens? Now you can find that out in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Captive State, which opens in Singapore on April 11.
The movie stars Ashton Sanders (Moonlight) as Gabriel Drummond, an orphaned teen who seeks liberation from the titular captive state of Chicago, but his only way out is by working for the state itself, represented by William Mulligan (John Goodman, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Monsters University). The supporting cast is rather strong, with the likes of Vera Farmiga (The Nun, Bates Motel), Kevin Dunne (Transformers, True Detective) and rapper Machine Gun Kelly (Bird Box) present as well. Captive State is directed by Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes).
