After months of eager anticipation, fans finally got a glimpse at what will transpire in the HBO show that is returning with its eighth, and final, season on April 15, 9am SGT, and it seems that every major character (that is still alive) will be there for the final showdown.

This includes Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) amongst several others.

The roughly two-minute trailer opens with Arya Stark running down the dark corridors of Winterfell, with blood on her face, and terror in her eyes. This is in clear contrast to her calmly and confidently declaring to an audience that “I know death. He’s got many faces. I look forward to seeing this one.” One can only imagine what version of death might  be approaching Arya which has her so shaken up.

Meanwhile, Jon and Daenerys are shown marching with their army, evidently preparing for the White Walker invasion.

“They’re coming. Our enemy doesn’t stop, doesn’t tire, doesn’t fear,” Jon says in the trailer.

Game of Thrones is directed by Miguel Sapochnik, David Nutter and creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. The final season is comprised of only six episodes instead of the usual eight but each episode is now longer, being 90 minutes instead of just 60 mins, and will present more like six movies rather than six television episodes.

For those who do not wish to miss the final season of Game of Thrones, you can now catch it on HBO Go, which is no longer tied to Starhub Cable in Singapore and is a standalone streaming service, on April 15, 9am SGT.
