First Looks At 3D Bugs Bunny For Space Jam: A New Legacy

Looks like the 1996 Space Jam is updating more than its cast of NBA All-stars. If you think seeing your favourite Lakers and Nets players go head to head in a movie-format is mindblowing, wait till you see the updated Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang in the sequel.

New images from Space Jam: A New Legacy offer fans their first glimpse at how the sequel will update the look of the Looney Tunes icons. Bugs and his pals in Space Jam are no longer 2D animated like the original film and are instead brought to life (a.k.a 3D) with CGI.

The new photos see Bugs Bunny looking nervous, as well as LeBron James wearing the iconic Tune Squad outfit and high-fiving Lola Bunny and one of him alongside a very angry looking Tweety.

The Space Jam franchise is very nostalgic for fans of NBA and 90s Hollywood movies. The plot of the upcoming sequel is yet to be revealed so fans will just have to wait and see how the sequel pans out. For starters, we already know that the Looney Tunes gang looks a whole lot different from their first appearance.

Space Jam: A New Legacy premieres on HBO Max and in theaters on 16 July 2021.
