Bethesda Surprises With Free 'Fallout 4' Next-Gen Update Coming In 2023

Fallout Games Sees Player Surge On Steam After TV Series Release

Since Fallout’s release on Amazon Prime Video, fans who want a taste of nostalgia and new viewers eager to explore the wasteland have resulted in a surge in player numbers for games across the franchise, according to SteamDB.

Fallout 4, which the TV series is heavily inspired by, took the top spot with above 30k concurrent players. The open-world game is the most recent entry in the franchise, and has plenty to explore on its vast map, and will be receiving a long-awaited update soon.

Multiplayer game Fallout 76 hit over 20k players on Steam, followed by Fallout New Vegas, which crossed the 10k mark last weekend. Compared to previous numbers on SteamDB, it’s clear that the series has boosted player numbers.
