Evil Genius 2: World Domination Releases In March 2021

Dominating with a new trailer, Rebellion has finally announced its release date for the anticipated sequel Evil Genius 2: World Domination.

The original 2004 game, Evil Genius, was an RTS with simulation elements similar to the upcoming sequel that focuses on managing your villainous lair and evil dominion over “minions” to build a doomsday device enforcing the submission of the world. It had an overall positive response from the critics with minor flaws that can be overlooked with the amount of fun it provided.

With the first look gameplay from June 2020’s PC Gaming Show, it’s exciting to finally see an update from Rebellion.

Rebellion Productions is more known for their work on Sniper Elite, has owned the Evil Genius IP since 2006, and have released a mobile game based on it.

Thankfully, the sequel returns to its root. This time round it features four new villains satisfying most of the criminal archetypes. Play as narcissist despot Max, heavy-muscle madman Ivan, manipulative ex-spymaster Emma, or scientist zealot Zalika.

Playing across three different island locations, players will be faced with each island’s unique gameplay challenges to construct and design their own supervillain HQ. Managing new henchmen, and devising devilish traps are part of your vicious ploys for total world supremacy.

More surprises and features of the game like a new mode will be announced as promised by Rebellion in the coming weeks.

Evil Genius 2: World Domination releases on 30 March 2021 on Steam.
