Edgar Wright To Direct New Movie Adaptation Of Stephen King’s The Running Man

According to Deadline, Paramount Pictures has made a deal with Edgar Wright to develop an direct a new adaptation of The Running Man, based on the futuristic novel by Stephen King. Edgar Wright is best known for directing the comedic Three Flavours Cornetto film trilogy consisting of Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), and The World’s End (2013), and more recently Baby Driver (2017).

The new movie adaptation won’t be a remake of the 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and is expected to be much more faithful to the novel.
