Being a console that was made for both portable and home gaming, fans were understandably concerned about how it will run as well as the game’s graphics quality. Now, The Witcher’s official Twitter account has finally given us an answer on some of the more technical details regarding The Witcher 3’s move to the Switch.

According to the tweet made by The Witcher’s official Twitter account, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition will run at a resolution of 540p while in handheld mode, and 720p when stationed on the Switch dock, with dynamic resolution turned on.

This is a definite step down from the visual experience offered by the console and PC versions of the game, but it’s understandable and not surprising considering that the Complete Edition is designed to bring one of the best games of this generation to a mobile platform.

Aside from the screen resolution, The Witcher Twitter account also confirmed that the game will; come with a 32GB cartridge which includes everything, from the base game, to the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansion packs, to the 16 additional DLCs. No downloads will be required but the game will not support cross-saves hence you will not be able to bring your current progress to the Switch.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition will be released on the Nintendo Switch in late 2019.
