Dynamic Puzzles & Multi-stage Boss Fights Lead Reveal Of ‘Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy’

The puzzle-platforming genre is about to welcome a beloved luminary back into the fold, as THQ Nordic and Frozenbyte have revealed the upcoming Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, which will be launching on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch eventually.

Set in a fantastical fairytale world, the 2.5D puzzle platformer will offer players twenty beautifully designed levels to explore in their bid to save the realm against evil forces. The game supports up to four players via online and local co-op, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will once again star Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight, and is set to be their most action-packed journey yet.

Part of the fun will involve puzzles that change difficulty according to the number of players, forcing teams to think out of the box when it comes to manipulating fire, air, light, magnets, electricity, and more. Combat will also be more challenging, with boss fights becoming tactical affairs that play out over multiple stages.

In any case, the Heroes of Trine must reunite to push back a fearsome Clockwork army and bring peace and justice to the land, and it will be one hell of a ride. Considering that it has been quite a while since the series got a new entry, the reveal of Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is a nice surprise for fans and another opportunity for players to experience one of the classics.
