The long-awaited Chucky TV series on Syfy and the USA Network has been postponed indefinitely as production has been suspended indefinitely due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Deadline, filming was set to begin in Toronto, Canada, but was stopped in its tracks as productions in the area continue to be suspended. This casts its intended 2021 premiere in doubt, though the producers are still positive that it will still air by then.

No particular cast or crew members have been identified to have contracted the coronavirus.
Despite being branded as a reboot, Chucky serves to continue the events of the original Child’s Play film series in 1988, with Brad Dourif most famously reprising his voice role as the doll possessed by the titular serial killer Charles Lee Ray.

Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
