Emma Stone’s Cruella de Vil is getting a new look for the upcoming Cruella movie, and it’s got us on edge.
Disney shared a new poster and trailer for the Cruella feature film focused on the 101 Dalmatians antagonist and it sees 32-year-old Academy award-winning actress Emma Stone in the villain’s iconic dark eyeshadow and bold lip combo.
The makeup and overall look of the character is a step up from the animated version with Stone’s Cruella sporting a sultry glam-rock smokey eye, thick dark brows instead of thin arched ones and short curly hair.
The black and white photograph certainly gives off an edgier and punk rock vibe that is reminiscent of 80s Madonna and rock opera icon Dr Frank-N-Furter of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The Cruella movie will look into the origin story of the villain and see how the fashion designer grew to be obsessed with wearing the fur of dead puppies.
Cruella is slated to release 28 May 2021.
