Designer Matthew Thompson, who is also an avid Nintendo fan, recently shared his take on how the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons will look like when designed based on every Nintendo home console.
On his website MattMakes, Thompson explains that he was partially inspired by a reddit user who was desperate to see a Wii themed Joy-Con.
The Nintendo Switch Joy-Con comes in several different colours, with special editions such as the Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! Joy-Cons coming in the respective Pokemon’s yellow and brown colour. Such variety allows for users to mix and match to let their personality shine.
Thompson explained that he restrained from using additional graphics on the Joy-Con, and only coloured the parts that were already available. This results in a much more realistic and believable Joy-Con design than other more fanciful designs.
