‘Black Myth: Wukong’ Drops New Trailer, Reveals Collector’s Edition

It’s a Journey to The West in the newest Black Myth: Wukong trailer, which had plenty of action, hijinks, and showed off even more of the Chinese mythology-rooted epic. And if you’re a big Wukong fan, the trailer also teased deluxe and collectors’ editions available for purchase, which come with items inspired by the game.

Even the music pays homage to its inspiration, with the theme that plays in the background being the original Journey to The West theme from the 1986 TV show. The ending shot of the trailer also revealed the Four Heavenly Kings that appear in the myth, hinting at a future battle between the Monkey King and the Heavenly Army.

The Deluxe and Collector’s editions are a treat to behold, with the Collector’s edition including a 40cm figure of Wukong himself, along with a silk scroll depicting the Teaching of the Heart Sutra, a wind chime necklace, thunderstone ring, gold sun crow pin, stamps and a postcard, and a steelbook case for US$400, which also entitles you to a digital deluxe edition of the game.

The Deluxe edition comes with a 1:1 replica of the Constricting Headband Wukong wears, along with a different scroll depicting Chaos at the Peach Banquet, with the other items remaining the same, and costs US$169.

Black Myth: Wukong releases on 20 August 2024, and pre-orders are open on Steam.
