THE FORGE 15S & 15X
(The All-Rounded Gamer, from S$1,695)

For those seeking affordability and sheer performance, the Forge Series has laptops that offer an unbeatable price point and 30 Series graphics cards that both casual and serious gamers can rely on – starting from just S$1,695!

The Forge 15S is considered an entry point to Aftershock’s variety of gaming laptops, this 15.6-inch laptop comes in a sleek aluminium alloy chassis that is ultra-light while packing decent performance.

Equipped with the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 upgradeable to the 3050Ti, the Forge 15S offers two options of Intel’s CPU – the i5-11400H or the i7-11800H. Both options are capable of running the latest games on the market, including Resident Evil Village or Outriders, with ease.

The FHD display (1920 x 1080p) comes with a whopping 144Hz refresh rate, perfect for your FPS competitive titles, including Call of Duty: Warzone or Apex Legends, where you’re all set to see even the tiniest detail and movement differences in the heat of the most intense battles.

The Forge 15S is the ultimate road warrior, weighing at just 1.89 kg, it has an ultra-light chassis that packs a versatile set-up with all the necessities – Wi-Fi 6, multiple display support, a USB-C outlet, and even an RJ45 port to ensure a smooth and portable gaming experience, anywhere anytime. With a minimalist appearance, the laptop also looks the part as a workstation laptop so you can game in secret at the office.

If you are really looking to take your gaming seriously, however, the Forge 15X offers the best value proposition and price to performance ratio. The Forge 15X packs the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, which at FHD, can pretty much handle any of the latest titles at the moment at the highest settings.

Apart from a better GPU, the Forge 15X has better cooling to match its performance requirements and it compensates for its slightly heavier frame with an extra HDD slot which you can upgrade up to 4TB.

For all Aftershock’s laptops, you can also customise your machine to cover almost every detail, from the use of specific thermal compound, extra RAM & storage to special accessory bundles such as a mouse or carrying case, to complete the entire gaming package.

The Forge 15S and Forge 15X are available from S$1,695 with two years free warranty.

The APEX 15X & 15R
(The Performance Seeker – from S$2,275)

If you’re looking to take your gaming experience to the next level, then the Apex 15 would be the ideal laptop for your power-performance needs. The laptop comes in 2 versions, the Apex 15X which offers Intel’s latest 8 core i7 processor and the Apex 15R, a monstrous Ryzen 9 8 core processor.

The Apex 15 anodised aluminium alloy chassis rocks an upgraded 15-inch QHD wide colour gamut display (2560 x 1440p) with a 165Hz refresh rate, so your games and movies are more fluid and ultra-sharp offering you an enthralling visual experience.

Slim bezels and 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio promises a more immersive and vibrant visual imagery for your stay home-spells – be it lying in bed to catch up on the latest The Bad Batch episode on Disney+, trying to bust some vampires up on Resident Evil Village, or editing videos as a content creator.

Decked out with an Intel i7-11800H 8 Core CPU, the Apex 15X has two top of the line options for its graphic card, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or the 3070, with both supporting even the most visually demanding games, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Horizon Zero Dawn or Cyberpunk 2077

When put to the test, Horizon Zero Dawn scored above 90 FPS at Ultra settings, while The Witcher 3 hovered between 120 to 130 FPS on maximum settings. For popular shooters like Apex Legends and Valorant, we had them running beyond 100 FPS without fail. Plus, all this is projected onto a QHD 2560 x 1440p display which makes the experience all the sweeter.

Keyboard-wise, the Apex wants to get things done and wants to do it loud. Featuring Aftershock’s Gen 2 per-key RGB mechanical keyboard, the laptop offers 101 N-key rollover and anti-ghosting support for precision and tactile feedback that gamers can enjoy while on the move.

Slightly lighter than the Forge 15X at 2.1 kg, this powerhouse is perfect for those who want to bring around an incredible portable system for both work and gaming. However, should you find it still somewhat lacking in gaming prowess, the more powerful 15R will take things up a notch.

While the display remains the same, the 15R is fully upgraded with a Ryzen 5900HX CPU and choice of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or the whopping 3080 GPU to max out the laptop’s visual capabilities and tackle the most extreme of gaming demands. When it comes to heavy video rendering work, the Apex 15R will power through it like a breeze, so serious creators may also look at it as the perfect portable workstation.

The basic configurations of both Apex models are identical, with 8GB 3200Mhz RAM and M.2 NVME 512GB of SSD storage space that can be upgraded to 32GB and 2TB respectively. Instead of one M.2 slot, the Apex 15X/R will have two slots to ensure you get the fastest startup and data transfer speed.

With the exception of display ports, the Apex 15X and 15R feature the Wi-Fi 6 and the RJ-45 LAN port for the best connectivity and the all-important SD card reader to complete the content creator package. Additionally, it also comes with USB-C (with DP connectivity), HDMI, audio, mic ports and a Kensington lock slot.

The VAPOR 17X & 17R
(The Ultimate Portable Gaming Station – from S$2,350)

When it comes to size, bigger is not always better as when it comes to laptops, the burden of carrying around so much weight has been a strong deterrent to many from buying a larger portable system.

Luckily, Aftershock has managed to pack a whole lot of heat and performance without the additional weight into their new King of Light, the Vapor 17X/R.

Much like the Apex 15, the Vapor 17 comes in two versions. The Vapor 17X with the intel chip and the Vapor 17R that carries an AMD version.

With a magnesium alloy finish supporting the overall minimalist outlook, the Vapor 17X is furnished with the latest Intel i7-11800H CPU, and customers can go for either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or 3070 to buff up the visual prowess of the laptop.

But the devil is in the details, as the Vapor 17X boasts the biggest screen among all the Aftershock models, with a massive 17.3-inch QHD display (2560 x 1440p) featuring a narrow bezel design for the ultimate visual experience.

All that performance and visual capabilities are combined into a chassis that weighs just 2.3 kg – extremely light for a 17-inch laptop!.  The Vapor 17X felt like a smaller laptop in our hands and carrying it around honestly didn’t feel like there was much difference when compared to many other 15-inch laptops in the market.

The excellent visual quality and experience mean that the Vapor 17X is more than well-equipped to offer smooth and ultra-sharp images and when gaming, the Vapor 17X will settle for nothing less with its 165Hz refresh rate, so you can get the best performance to put your enemies down in games including Call of Duty or Doom Eternal.

Following its minimalist design, the Vapor 17X comes with a silent tactile keyboard and features a unique 4-zone RGB lighting if you find the need for the RGB glow.

Functionality, thankfully, has not been sacrificed for weight here. The Vapor 17X still comes with a series of IO ports, including an SD card reader, LAN, USB-C and even an HDMI, which brings an added touch of versatility.

Additionally, the Vapor 17X includes two M.2 SSD bays which you can upgrade up to 2 TB each, even if the base build itself only offers an M.2 512 GB SSD. The laptop also runs 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM on its base build, though you can upgrade this up to 32 GB.

You can turn the performance up another notch by going for the Vapor 17R, which runs on the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU. An option for the RTX 3080 16 GB will soon be available for those who want the best of the best, be it size or performance.

The Vapor 17X/R works as possibly the best portable system to accompany all your portable needs. Above everything else, the RTX 3080 configuration on the 17R promises an appealing combination of the best display and performance, be it for gaming or movie-watching.

The Vapor 17X and Vapor 17R are available from S$2,350 with two years free warranty.
