Journey, one of the most iconic indie video games that game out in the last 10 years, is finally coming to Steam on 11 June – just a year after its PC debut exclusively on the Epic Games Store.
Recently, a Steam page for the game was put up, which means discerning players can add it to their wishlists. No price has been listed yet, though it retails for US$9.99 on the Epic Games Store.
Additionally, Journey‘s release date suggests that it may be previewed during the Steam Games Festival: Summer Edition, which takes place from 9 – 14 June.
Journey is hailed as one of the greatest indie games of all time, as it tells a story beautifully without any narration at all. The player plays as a hooded figure who travels towards a mountain on the horizon, while maneuvering across various environments and terrain. During their trek, other players can also be potentially met (via online connection), who can aid you in various puzzles.
As the game’s title describes it perfectly, it’s one heck of a journey, and certainly not one to be missed.
Marion has a serious RPG addiction. Sometimes it bleeds into real life; he forgets to sleep because he thinks he has a Witcher’s body clock. Forgive him in advance if he suddenly blurts out terms such as “Mind Flayer” and “Magic Missile”, because never once does he stop thinking about his next Dungeons & Dragons game.
