Bandai Namco Reveals 2v2 Anime Action Game ‘Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash’

It is always nice to see something new come out that nobody expected, and at the recent Bandai Namco Summer Showcase 2023, the Japanese company did just that with its reveal of the new title, Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash. This brand-new 2v2 action game will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Featuring over 15 characters from the Jujutsu Kaisen series in what is being described as “high-impact 2 vs. 2 Cursed Technique Battles,” fans can expect the likes of Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and Satoru Gojo to be part of the fun in Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash. The first trailer for the game was also released.

The main gameplay will see players and their partners aim for the heights by mastering the Cursed Technique of the Jujutsu Sorcerer and Cursed Spirits. Each character will bring unique techniques to the table, and as they fight together, they will only become stronger in combat. Think tag-team attacks and combos, while certain combinations of partners will result in “unique synergies and power dynamics.”

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash will follow a majority of the story that many would already be familiar with, as the heroes work together to defend mankind against the encroaching monsters known as the Curses.

While the manga, which began in 2018, and the anime, which started in 2020, have seen great success, Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash will be the first Jujutsu Kaisen game to appear on consoles. No release date has been confirmed yet for the action title, but it is likely we will see more real soon.
