Who’s your daddy? Well in FUBAR, it’s Arnold Schwarzenegger!
Netflix just shared a trailer for the action-comedy series and it’s definitely not your typical father-daughter quality time. FUBAR follows a retired CIA agent (Schwarzenegger) who learns his daughter (Monica Barbaro) is also secretly an operative. The two team up for a mission but it looks like some quality time are needed to address the strained father-daughter relationship.
The synopsis reads:
“When a father and daughter learn that they’ve each secretly been working as CIA operatives for years, they realize their entire relationship has been a lie and they truly don’t know one another at all. Forced to team up as partners, FUBAR tackles universal family dynamics set against a global backdrop of spies, fantastic action and humour.”
FUBAR is Schwarzenegger’s first ever series and is loosely based on his 1994 film True Lies.
“Everywhere I go, people ask me when I’m going to do another big action comedy like True Lies,” said Schwarzenegger. “FUBAR will kick your ass and make you laugh – and not just for two hours. You get a whole season. It’s been a joy to work with Nick, Skydance and Netflix to give my fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for.”

Aside from Barbaro and Schwarzenegger, FUBAR also stars Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, Andy Buckley, Aparna Brielle, Barbara Eve Harris, Fabiana Undenio and Gabriel Luna.
FUBAR premieres on 25 May on Netflix.
