After a long wait, Apple has finally announced the long-awaited iPhone 13. This year’s iPhone 13 comes with 4 different variants: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Featuring a sleek flat edge design, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini comes in five gorgeous colours – pink, blue, midnight, starlight and red. Both models feature an advanced dual-camera system with a new wide camera with bigger pixels and improvements in low light photo taking and video making.
With the new iPhones, anyone can be a filmmaker with Cinematic mode that allows the focus to be changed during and after capture. Users can also adjust the level of bokeh in the Photos app and iMovie for iOS, and coming soon to iMovie for macOS and Final Cut Pro, making the iPhone 13 lineup the only devices able to edit the depth-of-field effect in video even after recording.
The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini also boast super-fast performance and power efficiency with an A15 Bionic chip, longer battery life, and brighter Super Retina XDR 6.1 inch display for the iPhone 13 and 5.4 inch display for the iPhone 13 mini.
On the other hand, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have been redesigned inside and out to introduce an all-new Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion featuring an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, making the touch experience faster and more responsive. The OLED screens on both models are the same sizes as last year’s iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max at 6.1 and 6.7 inches.
Also equipped with the A15 Bionic chip, the iPhone 13 Pro lineup features a new 5-core GPU, allowing for faster graphics performance that is ideal for video apps and high-performance gaming.
The pro camera system gets its biggest advancement ever with new Ultra Wide, Wide, and Telephoto cameras. The ultrawide should offer better low-light photography, and the telephoto now goes up to 3x zoom, enabling 6x optical zoom across the three cameras. All three cameras now have night mode too.
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be available in four stunning finishes, including graphite, gold, silver, and the all-new sierra blue.
The iPhone 13 is priced at S$1,299, iPhone 13 mini at S$1,149, iPhone 13 Pro at S$1,649 and iPhone 13 Pro Max at S$1,799. Pre-orders begin Friday, 17 September, with availability beginning Friday, 24 September 2021.
