Apple Champions Fitness & Health With Apple Watch Series 11, SE 3, Ultra 3 & AirPods Pro 3

Apple has unveiled its next generation of wearables, providing hardware and software upgrades with its latest line-up of Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch SE 3, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and AirPods Pro 3, alongside an enhanced suite of health and fitness features for each.

Marking the thinnest Apple Watch in its line-up, the Apple Watch Series 11 will balance wearability with durability, with its screen now made of scratch-resistant glass that’s two times more effective than its previous generation. Its hardware innovations don’t just stop at the surface, as the Series 11 will now include cellular connection with a built-in 5G modem and antenna.

When it comes to software upgrades, the Series 11 will also feature a new Flow watch face to match the Liquid Glass aesthetic of Watch OS 26, alongside two new additions to its lineup of health apps, the first being the Possible Hypertension feature that analyses blood patterns with a user’s heartbeat to notify them of potential high blood pressure risks, and will be available across 150 countries, and the second being Sleep Score, a feature that tracks the various stages of a user’s sleep cycle to determine how effective is their nightly rest, with recorded data syncing across the watch and paired iPhone.

The Series 11 is also built to last longer, boasting up to 24 hours of battery life, with support for fast charging. The Apple Watch Series 11 will be available in Jet Black, Silver, Rose Gold, and the new Space Gray aluminium finish.

For those looking for a more affordable alternative, Apple’s budget-friendly watch line-up has also seen a new addition with the Apple Watch SE 3, which now features a performance upgrade with its new S10 chip. Other hardware upgrades include a four times more crack-resistant glass screen, built-in speakers for media playback, and 5G cellular connection.

With the SE 3, users now have access to its always-on display, which enables them to read the time and see the watch face without waking up the display, and coupled with its 18-hour battery life and fast-charging support, a first for the line, the SE 3 is built to last longer. Like the Series 11, the SE 3 will also include the Sleep Score feature, alongside Sleep apnea notifications and wrist temperature sensing for ovulation estimates.

Apple’s sports and health-focused Ultra series has also seen a newcomer in the form of the Apple Watch Ultra 3, which now features its largest display yet with thinner borders to enhance readability, alongside a wide-angle OLED screen. It’s also the longest-lasting Ultra series watch yet, with its substantial 42-hour battery life.

The Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch SE 3, and Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be available on 19 September 2025 starting from US$399, US$249 and US$799, respectively.

Watches weren’t the only wearables given the spotlight, as Apple also introduced the latest addition to its AirPods line-up, the Apple AirPods Pro 3, which now features enhanced spatial audio technology and is built for a better fit, sporting a smaller, more natural fitting design, alongside being IP57 dust and water resistant, a first for AirPods. Battery life has also been improved, and will now last up to 8 hours on a single charge, or up to 10 hours in transparency mode with its Hearing Aid feature.

The AirPods Pro 3 will also feature upgraded Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) features, which Apple says are two times more effective compared to the previous generation. It will also feature software additions, including Live Translation powered by Apple Intelligence, audio experiences like Workout Buddy to provide real-time exercise descriptions and updates, a new workout tracker dedicated to the AirPods Pro 3 on the iPhone Fitness app, and an in-built heart sensor to monitor workout sessions.
