It is no secret that fans have been growing impatient with the lack of news regarding a new Metroid game. With Metroid Prime 4 announced for the Nintendo Switch in 2017 with development restarting with Retro Studios in early 2019, it seems we are still far away from enjoying a new adventure with Samus Aran.

However, nothing is stopping you from reliving a classic, especially one made with love from a fellow fan, AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake), which is developed by Argentinian programmer Milton Guasti first came to PC in August 2016, and the unofficial reimagining of Metroid II: Return of Samus was eyecatching, to say the least.
As expected, Nintendo came down hard with a DMCA takedown for the project, and also released their official remake, Metroid: Samus Returns, for the 3DS in 2017.

That has not stopped Guasti’s work from being celebrated, just like the Metroids, you can still enjoy AM2R on the PC, and now, it’s even available on Android with close-to-perfect controls and the awesome music. Unlikely to be the work of Guasti, the new 1.4.3 version of the game is likely a product of other developers.
Now you can relive a wonderful Metroid II experience on your smartphone while on-the-go with Another Metroid 2 Remake, and blast the time away until Metroid Prime 4 eventually hits the Nintendo Switch.
