Another ‘Heroes’ Revival From Creator Tim Kring Is Coming Because…

Sometimes, it’s better to let franchises die. Heroes creator Tim Kring however, believes the series still has some life in it, as he attempts to revive it with Heroes: Eclipsed, which is in the market for potential buyers.

The series will take place years after the events of the original series and feature new heroes, while re-introducing new and familiar villains, similar to limited series Heroes Reborn. The original series ran from 2006 to 2010 with four seasons, and was well-received when it first aired, but Reborn had lesser success, and picked up five years after the original series left off.

No plot or casting details have been revealed as of now, but should the series find a buyer, we’ll likely be seeing more of Heroes in time to come, for better or worse. Heroes: Reborn did end on a cliffhanger, so a new series could explore those plot threads.

Whether Heroes: Eclipsed will be able to bring back the hype the original series had is anyone’s guess, but with one less-than-optimal revival, maybe the second time’s the charm.
