Alienware’s New AW920H Headset Is One Classy Accessory That Doesn’t Scream “Gamer”

Alienware, known for its gaming laptops and desktops, first dipped its toes into the gaming headsets market in 2020. At CES 2022, the brand announced a new pair of premium gaming headset, the AW920H.

The AW920H features 40mm drivers, active noise cancellation (ANC), and comes with a detachable microphone. It can connect wirelessly via a USB-C dongle or through Bluetooth 5.2, with console support limited to the 3.5mm cord it comes with. The earcups are embossed with an Alienware logo featuring customisable RGB. Taking a page out from non-gaming headsets, the AW920H uses touch controls on the right earcup for volume adjustment, ANC toggle, skipping and replaying tracks, and picking up or hanging up calls.

Alienware claims that the AW920H boasts 30 hours of runtime on 2.4GHz or 55 hours on Bluetooth, and that is an impressive battery life, but the verdict will have to wait till users get to try it out for themselves. The headset will be priced at US$200, and will be available from early February onwards.
