Adobe MAX 2022: Ten Exciting “Sneaks” Into The Multiverse Future Of AI-powered Apps

Every year at Adobe MAX, one of the main highlights and clear fan-favourite is always the “MAX Sneaks”, where Adobe’s engineers and research scientists showcase a slew of cutting-edge, mind-boggling innovations that may or may not eventually come to its Creative Cloud apps. This year at Adobe MAX 2022, the “Sneaks Multiverse” was co-hosted by actor, comedian and entrepreneur Kevin Hart.

Check out the 10 new AI-powered (Adobe Sensei) projects Adobe showcased during their “Sneaks” event this year:

  1. Project Clever Composites helps make a realistic composite image in just a few clicks. AI easily identifies an object suitable for adding to a background image, automatically cuts out the object, adjusts its color and size for consistency with the background, and then generates appropriate shadows by analyzing the background lighting.
  2. Project Instant Add enables users to edit video content in the same way one edits images. Users need only to choose the element in the video to map text or graphics to and AI handles the rest by automatically mapping the graphics to the chosen element in the video.
  3. Project Magnetic Type uses AI to allow fluid binding of shapes to text without distorting the original text’s aesthetics or its text-editability.
  4. Project Vector Edge enables 2D designs to be applied to 3D environments and objects, so designers and stakeholders can visualize how assets will look in the real world.
  5. Project Motion Mix uses AI to crop out and render a looping animated video of a person based on a single still image.
  6. Project Blink is a new video editing tool that uses AI to auto-detect and helps users quickly find any highlights from the video by simply allowing the user to search for specific words spoken, objects or sounds. The user can then select a portion of the video transcript and copy and paste it to create a new clip of the video instantly! Project Blink is currently in beta, and you can already sign up to test it out right now.
  7. Project Artistic Scenes uses AI to automatically generate a 3D scene from a series of 2D photos, and to apply any artistic style to it with a click of a button.
  8. Project All of Me is a smart portrait photo editor that uses AI to “uncrop” an image, and provide recommendations to modify the photo subject’s apparel. You’ll have to see it to believe it.
  9. Project Beyond the Seen uses AI to generate a full 360° panorama from a single image, enabling users to add shiny and reflective 3D objects into a scene and enable them to be rendered with AI-generated reflections. Think of it as creating that ray-tracing effect, despite only having a single background image to work with.
  10. Project Made in the Shade uses AI to enable the user to easily cast a realistic shadow on a 2D or 3D object in a photograph instantly. Adobe’s AI technology is able to recognise depth, lighting and other aspects of the scene, and even enable the objects to be moved around and still maintain the shadows cast on each of the objects within the scene.

You can even watch the full session below and be amazed at the possibilities the future might hold in terms of improving every designers’ productivity.
