Activision Blizzard Giving Out Free Frosty Treats & Beta Codes For ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’ In Singapore

As we approach the end of the year, first-person shooter fans already know that they are going to get another healthy dose of Call of Duty action. Ahead of the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Beta, Activision Blizzard is making its move together with Singapore’s own mobile ice cream sellers, dispensing both frozen treats and Early Access codes as part of the #StayFrostySG campaign.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Beta Early Access

Starting from 15 to 18 September, eager players need only look out for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II-branded ice cream carts and popsicle kiosks found in these nine locations:

The Beta window is split into two weekends. The first will be on PlayStation 4 and 5, running from 17 September 1 AM GMT+8 to 20 September, for those who have pre-ordered the game or gotten the Beta Early Access codes. The beta will then become available for all from 19 September at 1 AM GMT+8 to September 20.

The following weekend will see the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta open up to all consoles and PC. This will include crossplay, and will take place from 23 September at 1 AM GMT+8 to September 26 for those who have pre-ordered the game. The rest of the world can join in starting on September 25 at 1 AM GMT+8.

Keeping on brand, the Beta Early Access codes will be printed on custom dog tags, and there will be a limited number up for grabs, so be sure to get there quick or lose out on experiencing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II early and potentially seeing Singapore in the game via the Marina Bay Grand Prix map.

For those not familiar with the franchise, “Stay frosty” is one of the series’ most iconic quotes, and connecting the game and ice cream makes perfect sense. With Captain “Soap” MacTavish, the man behind the quote, along for the ride with the rest of Task Force 141, players will continue the story that unfolded with 2019’s reboot.

Call of Duty: Next Franchise Showcase

On 16 September, 1 AM GMT+8, the future of the franchise will be presented via Call of Duty: Next, an era-defining franchise event. Presented by Infinity Ward, and featuring robust information drops detailing innovations, live gameplay, and a whole lot more, expect to learn:

  • What the imminent future of Call of Duty will look like, including details on Modern Warfare II, the next Call of Duty: Warzone, and more on the mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone.
  • A full Modern Warfare II Multiplayer reveal.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will launch this coming 28 October.
