The fight against vermin will soon return, as Amicia and Hugo continue their journey through the pestilence-infested world of A Plague Tale: Requiem. Following an earlier appearance at the Microsoft x Bethesda showcase, Asobo Studio has unveiled a new 10-minute gameplay trailer, alongside a definite release date for the ambitious sequel.
The game will be coming out on 18 October, with the extended footage promising a bigger world and puzzle-solving and stealth elements that have been carried over from A Plague Tale: Innocence. However, it seems more violent and combat-oriented gameplay can be expected, as Amicia has a lot of tools at her disposal here, including an ability to highlight enemies and their movement through walls and objects, and a new crossbow.
Much like most modern day titles, it also packs in DLSS and RTX features for PC users, who will be able to enjoy ray tracing and enhanced frame rates. A Plague Tale: Requiem will be available on XBox Game Pass on day one for PC, Xbox consoles, and cloud devices when it launches, though eager fans can now place their pre-orders now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC. A Collector’s Edition comprising a Hugo and Amicia statue, vinyl soundtrack, lithograph pictures, a feather brooch, and exclusive box art was announced as well.
Taking place six months after the original game, A Plague Tale: Requiem follows Amicia and Hugo as they travel south in hope of discovering a mysterious island that could hold the key to saving Hugo from his illness.
