The collection comprises of two main designs – one with artwork by renowned artist Takashi Murakami, and the other featuring prints of the original comic.

Takashi Murakami is a contemporary artist who made Time magazine’s list of “100 Most Influential People” in 2008, and has collaborated on projects with the likes of Louis Vuitton, VANS, Kanye West, and Pharrell Williams. His artwork titled “Anna koto iina dekitara iina” (That sort of thing is good / I wish I could do it – Doraemon theme song lyrics) was featured in the Doraemon Exhibition Tokyo 2017. It’s a dizzyingly colourful piece showcasing main characters from Doraemon, and Murakami’s singature flower patterns.

His artwork is now recreated for Uniqlo t-shirts, albeit more toned down and featuring simple patterns and designs.

Other designs in the collection include the original Doraemon manga, with scenes of Nobita begging for Doraemon’s help.

The T-shirts are available for Mens sizes at S$19.90 and Kids sizes at S$14.90.

Doraemon is so special, such that its Uniqlo collection even has a plush toy that looks ever so cute and cuddly! Once again, it features the same prints by Murakami, and retails at S$49.90.

Pick up your Doraemon UT products at the Uniqlo Orchard Central Global Flagship Store or on Uniqlo Singapore’s online store when the collection launches on May 25, 2018.
