After six years on hiatus, Riot Games’ virtual K-pop girl group K/DA is making their long-awaited comeback with their new song, FIRESTARTER, with an EP (extended play) arriving on 30 October 2026.
Marking the group’s first new music since their 2020 EP ALL OUT, the album will feature the titular song alongside WATCH ME, NEVER GOING BACK, and GIRLS. FIRESTARTER will see the return of Mi-yeon and Soyeon of K-pop group i-dle as the singing voices of Ahri and Akali, respectively, alongside Canadian singer Sophie Powers as Evelynn, and British singer Mimi Webb as Kai’Sa.
K/DA is a virtual girl group consisting of League of Legends champions Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa, and made their debut at the 2018 League of Legends World Championship Finals in Incheon with POP/STARS, the group’s first single. The group’s name is derived from K/D/A, an in-game shorthand for a player’s Kills, Deaths, and Assists. As a virtual group, many artistes have lent their vocal talents as its members, including Sana and Jihyo of TWICE as Ahri, Chaeyoung of TWICE as Akali, Madison Beer as Evelynn, and Jaira Burns as Kai’Sa.
Alongside the new single, a new music video for FIRESTARTER has also been released, directed and produced by Fortiche Production, the animation studio behind the Arcane series and K/DA’s breakout POP/STARS music video. Furthermore, K/DA is also set to perform at the League of Legends Worlds 2026 Opening Ceremony on 14 November at Barclays Centre in New York, appearing alongside a star-studded line-up including virtual hip-hop collective True Damage.

FIRESTARTER is available now on all major streaming platforms, with pre-orders for EP physical products, such as limited-edition CD variants and vinyl, also being made available soon on Riot Games’ official store.
