Disney’s Ice Age: Boiling Point is steadily nearing its release date on 5 February 2027, and now, the sequel has received its first teaser trailer, offering a look at its main cast of characters, alongside the big-screen debut of the adorable Baby Scrat.

The minute-long teaser opens with smoke billowing from a volcanic eruption, with fan-favourite critter Scat first emerging from the smoke, chasing an acorn as always. The main gang of characters soon follow, comprising Manny (Ray Romano), Ellie (Queen Latifah), Sid (John Leguizamo), Diego (Denis Leary), Buck (Simon Pegg), Crash, and Eddie. The group are then pummeled by falling debris in slow motion, before the trailer closes with the reveal of Baby Scrat, marking the adorable characters’ big-screen debut following his appearance in the 2022 Disney+ spin-off series, Ice Age: Scrat Tales.
While the plot of Ice Age: Boiling Point is being kept under wraps, the sequel is described as a “dinosaur-and-lava-filled madcap adventure that takes Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Scrat and the rest of the herd to visit never-before-seen corners of the treacherous Lost World.” It also marks a return to the franchise after more than 10 years following 2016’s Ice Age: Collision Course, and will also be the first film in the franchise not to be produced by Blue Sky Studios, following its closure in April 2021, instead being handled by 20th Century Animation alongside returning franchise producer Lori Forte.
The prehistoric animated sequel is set to hit theatres on 5 February 2027, and you can check out the teaser trailer below:
