Xiaomi 17T Pro Gaming Test — Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero & Genshin Impact

Photography has always been a badge of honour for Xiaomi, with the company’s Leica partnership extending to all of its smartphone tiers — from the flagship Ultra lineup to the mid-range T-series. Even so, the baseline performance is never compromised, and the latter’s staple combination of a MediaTek Dimensity processor and Mali chipset more than gets the job done.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro establishes the strongest argument for the configuration to date, upgraded to the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 under the hood. Coupled with the Xiaomi 3D IceLoop System, a massive 7,000mAh battery, and a 6.83-inch, 144Hz AMOLED display with a 2,772 x 1,280 resolution, it comes well-equipped to handle different gaming demands.

Despite frame-rate hiccups at the start of booting up Zenless Zone Zero, the handset didn’t take long to stabilise and run the game smoothly. Wuthering Waves and Genshin Impact, in contrast, had little to no issues, delivering an enjoyable time that’s further complemented by an efficient battery, which registered only a 20 percent drop across all three games on the highest possible settings in balanced mode.

The device retails for S$999 (12GB + 256GB) exclusively on the official Xiaomi website, Lazada, and Shopee, or S$1,149 for the 12GB + 512GB iteration. It will be available in Deep Blue, Deep Violet, and Black starting 4 June, with pre-orders open now.
