Class is over for Amazon’s The Boys spin-off, Gen V, as the series has been cancelled after two seasons.

As reported by Variety, while the show will not return for a third season, some characters seen in Gen V will make appearances in the fifth and final season of The Boys. “While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we’re committed to continuing the Gen V characters’ stories in The Boys Season 5 and other VCU projects on the horizon. You’ll see them again,” said executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg in a statement.
Gen V premiered back in 2023, and follows a young group of Supes at Godolkin University School of Crimefighting as they train to become members of The Seven. Its cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Hamish Linklater. The finale of the show’s second season, which aired in October 2025, centred on its main characters being recruited into the resistance against Homelander and Vought, so it makes sense that these characters will make an appearance in The Boys’ final season.
Gen V was developed by Craig Rosenberg, Goldberg, and Kripke, with the trio also doubling up as executive producers alongside showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters.

With Gen V now cancelled and The Boys approaching its finale, the only show left in the franchise is the upcoming prequel, Vought Rising, which will centre on Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy and Aya Cash’s Stormfront, and will be set in the 1950s. Additionally, a Spanish-language spin-off, The Boys: Mexico, is also in development, and will be written by Blue Beetle’s Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer
