‘DAN DA DAN’ Anime Lands Season 3

Season 2 of DAN DA DAN may have wrapped up, but there will be more occult adventures to come. A third season of the hit anime series is now officially in production, with a release date and additional story details yet to be announced.

The news comes by way of the official X/Twitter account, accompanied by the caption, “Momo, Okarun, and Turbo Granny / Let’s celebrate!” and a new visual featuring the trio:

The 12-episode sophomore outing aired from 3 July to 18 September, on which Fūga Yamashiro and Abel Góngora at returning animation studio Science Saru are credited as directors. Hiroshi Seko serves as screenwriter, alongside Naoyuki Onda as character designer and Kensuke Ushio as composer. Aina The End performs the opening theme song “Kakumei Dōchū” (On the Way)”, while Wurts contributed the ending theme song, “Doukashiteru” (Something’s Wrong with Them).

“When high schooler Momo, from a family of spirit mediums, first meets her classmate Okarun, an occult geek, they argue—Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. When it turns out both phenomena are real, Momo awakens a hidden power, and Okarun gains the power of a curse. Together, they must challenge the paranormal forces threatening their world,” reads the official synopsis for the story.

Season 3 of DAN DA DAN has no release date.
