The Netflix animated game-to-screen series Devil May Cry has received the first teaser trailer for its second season, offering a glimpse of the showdown between the brothers Dante and Vergil when it lands sometime in 2026.
Teased via a post on the show’s official X/Twitter account, Season Two will feature “Dante vs. Vergil. Brother vs. brother,” as per the post’s description, with an accompanying minute-long trailer, that’s also available on YouTube, that hints at more stylish action to come, as the brothers finally face off following the introduction of Vergil at the end of Season One.
Helmed once again by Castlevania executive producer Adi Shankar, Season Two will focus on the complicated relationship between the two brothers, a plotline well-known by fans of Capcom’s iconic action game franchise, and as Shankar had previously teased, is set to be a change of pace compared to its predecessor.

“Season 2 is a vvvvveryyyyy different show.” Shankar previously wrote on X\Twitter in response to a fan question, “Yes, Dante levels up. His skills improve and you’ll see him embrace more of the iconic badassery fans of the game expect.”
How different Season Two will turn out to be seen still remains to be seen when the show releases on Netflix sometime in 2026. Other than Devil May Cry, Shankar has also recently announced that he will be setting his sights on another classic video game adaptation, Duke Nukem, after acquiring the screen rights to the iconic shooter franchise from Gearbox Software.
