Ahead of its worldwide gameplay reveal on 19 August, teased via its latest cinematic trailer, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s release date has been leaked online, suggesting that the game will drop on 14 November 2025.
These reports come from reliable industry leaker Billbil-kun, whose article on French outlet Dealabs adds that although the game is slated for release on all major consoles, including the previous-generation PS4 and Xbox One, it will not be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 at launch.
This news strangely goes against publisher Activision and Nintendo’s previous agreement to bring the Call of Duty franchise to the hybrid console, which the two industry giants made following the sequel’s announcement in June this year, with Activision saying in a statement to IGN that its was “committed to getting the franchise on Switch. Both teams are working on it. Will share details when ready.”

With this statement in mind, there’s still the possibility that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will arrive on the Switch 2 sometime in the future, just not at launch, and if it does, it will mark the first time the shooter has been available on Nintendo’s consoles since 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Wii U.
Additionally, Billbil-kun adds that the game will reportedly cost 79.99 euros, or US$70, suggesting that Microsoft is keeping to their word and not raising the prices of their games for the holiday season.
Still, these are just leaks and rumours at this point, and more concrete information about Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is bound to be unveiled during its gameplay reveal on 19 August in time with Gamescom 2025.
