Liev Schreiber Is Sam Fisher In Netflix’s ‘Splinter Cell: Deathwatch’ Animated Series

Strap on your trident goggles, as Sam Fisher is back. Liev Schreiber, best known by many as Sabertooth from 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is joining the Fourth Echelon as the iconic Fisher in Netflix’s upcoming animated series, Splinter Cell: Deathwatch.

Check out the series’ first teaser trailer below:

Based on Ubisoft’s hit video game franchise, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, the new series will span two seasons and 16 episodes, continuing the adventure of the iconic black ops agent Sam Fisher. The trailer shows a noticeably older-looking Fisher and seems to allude that the show will take place after the events of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, the latest game in the series.

Derek Kolstad, who wrote the first three John Wick films and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will serve as head writer and executive producer. Guillaume Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage are set to co-direct the series, with animation studios Sun Creature and Fost producing.

Rumours that Schreiber would be voicing Fisher had already been circulating online, after Michael Ironside, who voiced the character for almost 20 years and across six Splinter Cell games, hinted that Schreiber is on the iconic role during an interview with YouTube channel Monsters, Madness and Magic
