‘Wuthering Waves’ Teases ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ Collaboration For 2026

The worlds of Solaris and Night City are set to collide next year, as Chinese developer Kuro Games has teased an upcoming collaboration between its free-to-play open-world title Wuthering Waves and Netflix’s hit animated series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

As announced during a special live stream for the RPG’s first anniversary, the surprise tie-up is set to drop sometime in 2026. The reveal was set against the hauntingly beautiful musical backdrop of Rosa Walton’s “I Really Want to Stay At Your House” from Edgerunners (if you know, you know), with the premise that “characters from Night City will step into Solaris”.

Other details about the project are kept under wraps, but it could introduce Lucy and David Martinez as playable characters. Fans have also speculated on the possibility of having an explorable area themed after Night City, and there’s no way to know for certain until more information is unveiled.

The Wuthering Waves X Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover comes amid recent confirmation that more animation projects set in Polish game developer CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 universe are in the works, alongside reports of a live-action adaptation and Project Orion, the sequel to the 2020 title.

Before it goes live in 2026, another Chinese gacha title will first welcome an anime collaboration. The Honkai: Star Rail X Fate / Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works tie-up is slated for launch in Q3 2025, following in the footsteps of HoYoverse’s earlier cross-IP effort involving Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn and Genshin Impact.
