What The Duck? Roast Duck Mooncake Is A Thing

Yes, this is not a hoax. Mooncakes infused with the flavour of roast duck is real, and they’re debuting in Singapore.

In celebration of the upcoming Mid-Year Autumn festival, Hong Kong-based Kam’s Roast Goose has launched two new mooncakes to liven up the festivities.

The first of them will be Kam’s Roast Assorted Nuts with Roast Duck Mooncake. Typical mooncakes are smooth and chewy, but this one comes with five types of nuts (walnut, sesame seeds, almond, melon seed, and olive seeds), which are mixed in with the sweet paste and small chunks of Kam’s Roast Goose Michelin-quality roast duck. If you like something a little more exotic, this intricate blend of sweet and savoury will certainly fit the bill (heh).

The second mooncake launched by Kam’s Roast Goose will be Kam’s Roast Red Bean Orange Peel Mooncake. This is an interesting take on the traditional red bean mooncakes, having been infused with 23-year aged chenpi (dried orange peels), for an added citrusy kick. Orange you getting hungry just looking at this?
