Dress well, and half the fashion battle’s won. For Studio Ghibli fans, it seems a wardrobe makeover is in order, as Uniqlo returns with another collection of the animation powerhouse’s best-known works.
Featuring the work of Thai artist Kanyada, this refreshed range boasts 13 themed t-shirts (including three sweatshirts) and a handful of accompanying accessories. The soot sprites from My Neighbour Totoro lead the charge here, but other familiar elements can be found too, such as No-Face from Spirited Away, the iconic robot from Castle in the Sky, and the cat from Kiki’s Delivery Service.

For the little ones, there are a total of six designs available in kids’ sizing, and three more in infant cuts. Each will retail for S$14.90, with three different shoulder bag iterations and an adorable pair of soot sprite-themed socks rounding out the line-up.
The Uniqlo x Studio Ghibli collection is due to hit shelves in the Bugis+ outlet first on 17 August. It will be available nationwide and online from 21 August, with each Short Sleeve Graphic T-Shirt (Adult) going for the usual S$19.90 — the same price of a shoulder bag. The Open Collar Short Sleeve Shirt and sweatshirt range is priced at S$39.90, while the pair of socks costs S$5.90.
To celebrate the launch, Uniqlo will also hold film screenings at Golden Village Bugis+ from 17 to 22 August. The full schedule is as follows:

- 19 Aug – 1.30pm / 4:10pm: Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea

- 22 Aug – 5pm / 7:20pm: Whisper of the Heart
