Tsuburaya Productions has just announced the launch of the Guardians of the Earth booster pack for the Ultraman Card Game, marking a significant expansion of this beloved series. Slated for a global release on 8 November, the pack will be available in four languages across 23 countries and regions including Singapore, promising to elevate the gameplay to thrilling new heights.
This latest addition builds on the previously introduced The Bonds of Zero and Heroes of Hyper Space starter decks. It will feature 110 new cards including five Triple Rare (RRR) cards, and 30 highly coveted parallel art cards. These new entries are not just a boon for players looking to enhance their decks with stronger, more strategic cards, but also for collectors seeking rare finds.
The Guardians of the Earth pack includes scene cards that bring pivotal moments from the Ultraman universe to life, allowing players to engage more deeply with the iconic battles of the series. Among these, the scene card Legend of the Stone recreates a memorable scene from the Ultraman Tiga series, enriching the gameplay with historical depth.
Moreover, the booster pack introduces stunning new artwork by renowned artists Hiroshi Maruyama and Masayuki Goto. These cards range in rarity from Common to the much-anticipated Triple-Rare, with special Art Parallel (AP) and Special (SP) versions providing a premium collectible experience. The parallel cards feature detailed, vibrant designs with finishes that highlight the craftsmanship and passion behind each piece.
The pack’s global release will include versions in Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. In Singapore, the English-language packs will be priced at S$5.50 each, available both individually and in a 24-pack box. Each box also includes a Triple Rare box topper featuring Gomora, The Ancient Monster, adding significant value for collectors.
Simultaneously, Tsuburaya Productions is set to launch the Ultraman Digital Collection app. This app will bridge the physical and digital realms of the Ultraman Card Game by allowing players to scan QR codes from the booster packs, enhancing the collecting and trading experience.
Looking ahead, January 2025 will see the release of the Vortex of Crimson and Azure booster, along with the pre-constructed Extra Deck 01: Ultraman Rising. This pre-con deck is designed to welcome new players while pleasing long-time fans with characters from the Netflix film Ultraman: Rising.
The Guardians of the Earth booster pack not only promises to enrich the Ultraman Card Game with new strategies and a deeper connection to the Ultraman legacy but also sets the stage for a continuous evolution of this immersive game.
