If you missed it, Nintendo just announced their new initiative for the Nintendo Switch console, and it is made of cardboard. Both the Variety Kit and the admittedly cooler Robot Kit are now available for purchase.
Granted, the Nintendo Labo is unlike anything we have seen, the closest example I can think of are the Wii Remote add-ons.
Trust Nintendo to get creative with cardboard that can get an entire industry raging/loving it.
Getting creative with cardboard is also something Monami Ohno, a Japanese cardboard artist, does extremely well.

Ohno’s Instagram is just chocked full of amazing creations, and the talented artist also holds workshops to teach others aspiring to be just like her, and has appeared on television to show off her craft.
