Stay Behind For One Post-Credits Scene In ‘The Flash’

*Warning: minor spoilers for The Flash ahead.

Well, f***. What’s with superheroes and messing around with timelines these days? Our dear speedster Barry Allen aka the Flash (Ezra Miller), went back in time to save his mother and inadvertently created a huge mess in the timeline – like, big spaghetti bolognese mess – in DC’s latest flick, The Flash.

When Barry first realised he had entered the wrong year in the first third of the movie, he goes on a hunt for members of the Justice League that can help him. There was no Superman, Aquaman was never born and Wonder Woman was a stage name for a performer that wasn’t the princess of Themyscira. Also, Michael J. Fox wasn’t Marty McFly?! He did manage to find Bats, reprised by Michael Keaton and Supergirl (Sasha Calle) instead of the Man of Steel.

After two and a half hours of runtime and action, Barry thought he finally achieved the perfect ending. Only to realise that he was stuck in yet another timeline. How is he going to remedy this mess? By going back to square one, of course.

In the post-credits scene, Barry is seen pulling a very drunk Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) back to his apartment. Thankfully, Aquaman exists in this timeline, except he isn’t very superhero-like or responsible.

Barry explains to him that he needs his help but all Arthur can think of is another round of beers as he falls face flat into a dirty puddle. Arthur hands Barry a very important Atlantean ring in exchange for drinks and Barry resigns to the fact that he’s going to need a lot more help than Aquaman himself.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see for a possible The Flash sequel to find out how helpful Aquaman will be to dear Barry.
