Singapore’s Nintendo Pop-Up Store Debuts With Curated Range For Six Weeks Only

If you’re a big fan of all things Nintendo, a trip to Japan is a highlight that many would look forward to. Especially so, if you can squeeze in a trip to any of the official Nintendo stores in Tokyo, Osaka, or Kyto. But for those who might not be able to travel during this festive season, the Singapore Nintendo Pop-Up store might be the next best thing!

Having visited both the New York and Toyko stores in the past, the selection found at the pop-up store gives anyone a good sampling (and a sense of how much to save) for a visit to the stores overseas.

Located at Jewel Changi Airport on the fourth floor just opposite the current Pokémon store, the pop-up will be around from 17 November to 1 January 2024. All the major Nintendo IPs are represented with the likes of Mario, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pikmin, and Zelda having their own dedicated section in the store. Sadly, if you’re a fan of Metroid, you’re out of luck here the presence of our original female bounty hunter cannot be found here.

In anticipation of long queues, entry to the Singapore Nintendo Pop-Up store will be managed. Fans will have to show up physically outside the store, grab a queue ticket, and be let in sequentially.

It’s a practice that’s common in Japan and we should expect the system to change over six weeks depending on the demand and volume of the crowds.

Here’s a peek at the range of products that you can grab from the store itself –

Our favorite pick is this Mario flagpole hoodie which was not spotted on our most recent trip to Tokyo as the stores overseas do refresh their selection from time to time.

Based on what we’ve seen, the prices at the Singapore Nintendo store do come at a small premium for specific products. Hence, the upside here is avoiding having to lug back any bulky items for the locals so it might make sense to grab all the more fragile and bigger items from the Singapore Nintendo Store.

For Nintendo fans, if you’re looking for any specific exclusive merch unique to the store your best bet is a set of postcards featuring sights of Singapore. One postcard design will be given out with every S$80 spent at the store which will be an easy feat.

On top of that, anyone with an active Nintendo account should look out for a special kiosk and redeem a Nintendo sticker. There are a total of 18 designs to collect and only one sticker will be given out per day per Nintendo account.

The Nintendo Pop-Up Store is located at Level #04-220 & 221, Jewel Changi Airport, and is open daily from 10am to 10pm.
