Revealed at Summer Game Fest 2022 via a world premiere trailer, Aliens: Dark Descent is a strategic, real-time squad-based tactical action game, set to launch worldwide on 20 June 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
Alongside the release date, Focus Entertainment released the first gameplay video for its terrifying original tale set in the iconic Alien universe, breaking down what players can expect when their ship crash lands on Planet Lethe.
Aliens: Dark Descent slings fans into the cold embrace of space where players will have to employ a range of tactical abilities to unravel an authentic Alien narrative full of sinister secrets, iconic Xenomorphs and brand new threats.
Players get to recruit, level up and command a squad of Colonial Marines in real-time. Watch how any command issued over comms is swiftly obeyed by the Marine best-equipped for the situation according to their abilities and equipment. You can also customize your squad with a selection of different classes. Level up and specialize your soldiers with unique abilities and an arsenal of weapons, armor, and perks, for high stakes missions in treacherous territory. Develop your base to research new tech and improve your squad even further.
