For fans of superheroes, the upcoming launch of Insomniac Games‘ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 should be a big day for celebration, with both Peter Parker and Miles Morales joining up for another hopefully awesome adventure. However, the pair will face new challenges and even tougher odds when 20 October rolls by, with the new trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 showing as much.
No one can outrun the past, and that is exactly what our heroes will be doing throughout the sequel, all while facing up to new threats, which obviously contain the alien symbiote that will go on to become the villain, Venom.
“The city’s being torn apart. I don’t know if I’m strong enough to save it,” Parker said worryingly during the opening. “Do I have what it takes to protect the people I love?” Morales followed up. It is obvious that these are new frontiers for the pair in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and players will be in the hot seat to make sure everything turns out fine.
There are also snippets in the trailer that showcase the various abilities that both Miles and Peter can use throughout the game. The Iron Spider legs are going to be useful during combat, while stealth sections will benefit from Miles’ ability to go invisible.
With less than three weeks to go, the hype train continues to chug along for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, continuing what has already been a busy start to the final quarter of the year. In any case, for hard-hitting action and a healthy dose of superhero drama, be sure to dive right into the game when it launches on 20 October.
