There’s no rest for the wicked, and Season 3 of One-Punch Man will put Saitama back in the superhero business. Months after teasing a first look at two new villains, manga and anime platform Viz Media has announced the latest outing is set to premiere on 12 October across multiple streaming platforms worldwide.
It will air on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ in Canada, as well as Netflix in Latin America, Australia and New Zealand (and also on Crunchyroll for the former two). As shared in a separate trailer, a recap of the second season already dropped on 5 October, with the anime’s 10th anniversary exhibition scheduled for Summer 2026 in Tokyo, Japan.
Animation studio J.C. Staff, which produced the second season that adapts ONE’s (Mob Psycho 100) webcomic and Yusuke Murata’s (Eyeshield 21) manga of the same name, returns to helm production. Tomohiro Suzuki handles the series composition, joined by Chikashi Kubota, Shinjiro Kuroda, and Ryosuke Shirokawa as character designers, and Makoto Miyazaki as music composer.
Where fans would usually take such updates as good news, it seems things have been rocky behind the scenes. A previously released debut trailer drew criticism for its disappointing visuals, while the lack of new material since hints at a rushed timeline. The official social media posts revealing antagonists Monster King Orochi and Gyoro-Gyoro had comments disabled, and the Season 2 recap announcement trailer was only shown three days before its broadcast.

The synopsis for Season 3 of One-Punch Man reads:
“Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of ‘special training,’ he’s become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong — even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama performs his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association.
One day, monsters claiming to be from the Monster Association suddenly appeared, taking a child of Hero Association executive as a hostage. The S-class heroes gather and plan a raid on the Monster Association hideout to rescue the hostage. Meanwhile, Garou, a ‘human monster’ who was taken by the Monster Association during a battle with the heroes, awakens in the Monster Association hideout.”
