New Explicit ‘Twisted Metal’ Trailer Reveals Bloody Action, Sweet Automobiles And Comedy

Peacock just released a new trailer for Twisted Metal, and this time, it’s explicit.

The trailer begins with Anthony Mackie as the protagonist John Doe. He claims that “the word fell to shit” and explains the current state of the post-apocalyptic world where cities protect themselves behind walls and where guns and cars come in very handy outside of it.

We later meet Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz), a badass axe-wielding car thief, and Agent Stone, a psychotic highway patrolman. Of course, Sweet Tooth, voiced by Will Arnett and portrayed by wrestler Joe Seanoa, makes an appearance with his ice cream truck.

Twisted Metal also stars Haden Church. Neve Campbell, Richard Cabral, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans and Lou Beatty Jr. join the guest cast.

Given how it’s an explicit trailer, fans can expect a lot of F-bombs being dropped, gun violence, blood and some heart-pumping car action. This is an adaptation of the Twisted Metal video game after all, so the mature rating is apt.

Twisted Metal premieres on 27 July on Peacock, with 10 episodes.
