Netflix’s ‘Arcane’ Season 2 Returns Nov 2024

The animated Netflix series Arcane, based on Riot Games’ popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) League of Legends, grew into an animated darling that delighted as much as it devastated, so it’s no surprise that fans are eagerly anticipating the sequel’s arrival, especially with the cliffhanger ending of the first season.

But as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait. During its Geeked Week celebration of all things nerdy, the streamer confirmed that Season 2 of Arcane will premiere in November 2024, offering a blink-and-you-will-miss-it first look with a 15-second announcement teaser.

Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell will reprise their roles as sisters as Vi and Jinx, who are caught on opposing sides of a conflict in the utopian city of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun. Katie Leung is also set to return as Caitlyn Kiramman. Not much else is known about the upcoming season, including story details and potential new cast additions to the existing roster.

Arcane Season 2 November 2024

The first season proved to be a game-changer not just for the animation craft, but for video game adaptations in general. Last year, it made history by becoming the first streaming series to win an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program. At the time of its premiere, the show was Netflix’s highest-rated series, topping the streamer’s chart in 52 countries.

Like its predecessor, Season 2 of Arcane will hail from Riot Games and Fortiche Productions. The highly-acclaimed animated spectacle returns to Netflix in November next year.
