Prime Video has released the first trailer for its upcoming Reacher spin-off, Neagley, which sees the titular private investigator return to take on a dangerous cult after the death of a friend.
The trailer opens with an appearance by Alan Ritchson’s Reacher, who tells Maria Sten’s Frances Neagley that it looks like she has her hands full and that she “could have called me if you needed help”. Neagley is on a personal mission this time around, however, as she is investigating the suspicious death of her longtime friend, who mysteriously walked in front of an oncoming train.
While the authorities are quick to dismiss her friend’s death as a drug-fueled trip gone wrong, Neagley sets forth to discover the truth, with her path leading her to the Echo Canyon Farm, a dangerous cult masquerading as a refuge for the less fortunate, a task made even more challenging as it forces the lone wolf PI out of her comfort zone as she now has to work with a team.
Created by Reacher executive producer and showrunner Nick Santora, Neagley will also star Greyston Holt as Detective Hudson Riley, Adeline Rudolph as Renee Birdwhistle, Jasper Jones as Keno, Matthew Del Negro as Pierce Woodrow, and Damon Herriman as Lawrence Cole. The show will also feature an original story not based on any specific Jack Reacher novel.
“Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago and former military protégé of Jack Reacher in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit,” reads the show’s logline. “When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice. Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.”
Neagley will premiere on Prime Video with all of its eight episodes on 16 September 2026, and follows after the Season 4 Final of the main Reacher series.
