Mafia: Definitive Edition Now Delayed To September Due To Pandemic

With an original launch date of 28 August, Hangar 13 and 2K‘s upcoming Mafia: Definitive Edition was set to bring the world of Tommy Angelo into the modern era. Unfortunately, reality bites sometimes, and the game will now be delayed to 25 September.

Mafia: Definitive Edition will now release worldwide on September 25.

Though we’d originally planned to release the game one month earlier on August 28, finalizing everything in time for that launch date has become increasingly challenging due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, and the last thing we want to do is compromise the quality of the experience.

While the delay is not good news for fans, the publisher does have something planned to whet the appetites of would-be criminal masterminds. This coming 22 July, a gameplay reveal will be shown.

Every new look at Mafia: Definitive Edition just impresses even more. The built-from-the-ground-up remake will come with all-new gameplay sequences and features, made possible by the same stellar game engine that powered Mafia III’s best-in-class cinematics and other enhancements.
