Made in Abyss (2017)

The Made in Abyss manga, written and illustrated by Akihito Tsukushi since 2012, follows the adventures of a girl named Riko and her robot companion Reg as the pair venture into the Abyss, a massive pit filled with precious relics and strange creatures. The manga was adapted into an anime in 2017, and spawned a second season, Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, in 2022. The franchise also received three films, the first two being the compilation films Made in Abyss: Journey’s Dawn and Made in Abyss: Wandering Twilight in 2019, followed by its first fully fledged anime film, Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul, in 2020.

Alongside several returning key staff, Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery will also see the return of some familiar voice stars, including Mariya Ise as Reg, Miyu Tomita as Riko, Shiori Izawa as Nanachi, and Misaki Kuno as Faputa.
